Roman blinds create a soft and homely, yet luxurious feel to any room. They are generally designed with fabric, though there are wool and natural materials (such as bamboo) sometimes utilised. They are also easy to operate. When pulled closed, the material is pleated neatly together; once let down, the material lies smoothly down. These are one of the most common interior window blinds on the market and can be purchased in a wide range of colours and styles.
Roller blinds are differentiated by their rollup system. When the blinds are drawn up, the fabric is looped around a casing atop the window. The fabric is wrapped neatly around this casing and there are no wrinkles to be seen when you let these blinds down. As with our other window blind selections, there are a multitude of colours, materials and styles to choose from. Many of our customers choose to include ornate trimming or braids to the bottom rails of the blinds to help catch sunlight
Venetian blinds are another largely popular blind variety currently available. These blinds are classic in their design, as wood, plastic or aluminium slats are strung together and are connected to the pull cord mechanism. These slats can be adjusted to be open or closed when the blinds are down, allowing you to determine the amount of light to enter the room. All our venetian window blinds are supplied with matching headrail, bottom rail and coordinating strings
Vertical blinds work in a similar fashion to Venetian blinds, albeit vertically. Generally, vertical blinds are used for sliding glass doors or large windows. Vertical louvres can be tilted manually or by remote control, to allow restricted light to enter a room and maintain privacy or pulled back to access a full view of your garden or surrounding area.
Panel blinds (sometimes referred to as panel track blinds) are installed at the top of large windows or sliding glass doors. These can be easily pulled from side the side to block out the whole window, just a portion of the glass panes or pulled to the side to allow full light to enter a room. There are many different materials to choose from for these blinds, including fabric, screens and natural materials like woven wood.
Conservatories are wonderful for lighting your home, however, the glass panes leading up to the roof can be difficult to cover.
Conservatory blinds can be fitted to match your exact window panes. We can help you install pleated blinds that can be easily adjusted to allow in and block off light at your discretion. Because the blinds are higher up, they can be more difficult to install than standard blinds. Sampson will be there to take care of the installation for you
